Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the WA Licensed HIM Coder II will be responsible for coding various medical services, including ambulatory surgery and clinic visits, using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies. Key responsibilities: Code hospital, ambulatory surgical center, and clinic services by assigning appropriate ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes Maintain coding quality and productivity standards while tracking and reporting coding activities as required by management Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance team communication and workflow efficiencies Required qualifications: Completion of a vocational school or certificate program in medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines Certification as a Certified Professional Coder - Hospital Outpatient, Registered Health Information Technician, or equivalent coding credential Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and E&M coding, as well as medical billing and compliance requirements Proficiency in MS Windows environment, including Excel and 10-key data entry Strong customer service and organizational skills
