This course will provide the participant with essential information for developing the functional first aid capabilities of a first responder. As a crucial link in the EMS system, first responders evaluate and treat patients until more advanced medical help can arrive. Students will challenge national first aid and emergency cardiac care certification examinations at the completion of the course. **Minimum Qualifications:** The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or better in a related field or equivalent experience in the field.
