Remote.Net Developer PositionJob is 100% remote with mandatory in-person meetings in Richmond, Virginia. Contract duration is initially set with potential for 6-12+ month extension. Role involves operations and maintenance support on legacy .Net applications. The hired individual will work with the current development team to support and expand the existing system. The position involves developing and supporting web-based.Net applications.
The role ensures development is compliant with commonwealth, security, database, and application standards. Close collaboration with Data Architects and Applications Architects is required to maintain application performance and throughput targets. The job requires skills in web and database design, analysis, development of specifications, and programming.
The role requires mid-level knowledge of VB.Net, ASP,.NET, MVC and other web development tools. The individual must be able to design, develop, and implement efficient WEB applications. Excellent communication skills are required to interact with a wide range of persons including technical staff, vendors, administrators, and end users. The developer will need specific knowledge of web development and design (CORE, ASP, NET, HTML, XML), system development and design (SQL Server, ODBC, VB, ACCESS, Conceptual/Physical Data Models, VisualStudio,.NET.).
Experience with Net 2.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, MVC, Oracle and SQL databases is required. A college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent training is preferred.
The role requires experience as a Developer with demonstrated skills in WEB and Database design, analysis, development of specifications, and programming.
