Position Summary

The Vice President, Product Management – Commercial Banking is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of key banking products across commercial segments. This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to translate customer needs, market insights, and business strategy into scalable, compliant, and profitable banking solutions.

Standard 4‑day in‑office requirement, 1 day remote (of your choosing).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own end‑to‑end product management for assigned commercial banking products, from discovery through launch and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with the FVP to define and execute product roadmaps aligned to bank strategy, growth objectives, and customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation, modernization, and expansion across commercial segments.
  • Accelerate AI integration: partner with core AI team to embed AI‑driven use cases within the long‑term product vision.

Customer, Market & Competitive Insights

  • Conduct ongoing market, customer, and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and prioritization.
  • Translate customer pain points and business needs into clear product value propositions.
  • Leverage data, insights, and feedback loops to continuously improve product experience and outcomes.

Execution & Delivery Leadership

  • Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritization frameworks.
  • Lead cross‑functional execution with technology, operations, risk, compliance, marketing, and servicing teams.
  • Ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of product initiatives within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate AI and IT to ensure data availability, model scalability, and seamless integration into the core banking infrastructure.
  • Vendor management: evaluate and manage third‑party AI vendors and fintech partners to align solutions with technical standards and product goals.

Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Partner closely with risk, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure products meet regulatory, policy, and operational standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Balance innovation with sound risk management and operational resilience.

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Define product success metrics (KPIs), monitor performance, and drive data‑driven decisions.
  • Assess financial impact, profitability, pricing, and cost considerations for product initiatives.
  • Use insights to optimize product performance and inform future roadmap decisions.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Serve as a trusted product partner to senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, executive‑ready presentations, business cases, and product updates.
  • Influence decision‑making through strong storytelling, data, and structured communication.

Team Leadership & Product Discipline

  • Contribute to building strong product management standards, processes, and culture.
  • Model collaboration, accountability, and customer‑first thinking.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of product management experience within banking or financial services.
  • In‑depth knowledge of cash management, treasury services and financial technology products, services and trends.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and handle time pressures and changing priorities.
  • Driven by a passion and curiosity to continuously learn how various technological systems, including AI, can enhance the work you do.

Potential Salary

Potential Salary: $140k - $170k annually

This salary range reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non‑discriminatory factor permitted by law. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
