Lead a Supply Chain Function From the Ground Up - With a Direct Line to the CEO
If you’ve built or scaled a supply chain organization before - not just run one someone else built - this is a rare chance to do it again with real executive backing. Our client, a well-established, high-growth consumer products company, is hiring a VP of Supply Chain to own end-to-end strategy and report directly to the CEO.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve the end-to-end supply chain strategy: demand planning, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing/sourcing, warehousing, and logistics
- Lead, mentor, and scale a supply chain organization, building bench strength and operational discipline
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align supply with demand and drive forecast accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve service levels, and increase supply chain resilience
- Evaluate and optimize domestic and international supplier/vendor relationships
- Lead systems and process improvements (ERP, S&OP, inventory optimization tools)
- Manage supply chain risk, including sourcing diversification and contingency planning
- Own supply chain KPIs and report performance to executive leadership and the board
What They’re Looking For
- 10 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including senior/VP-level ownership of a full supply chain function
- Proven experience in a consumer products, retail, or similar high-SKU, multi-channel environment
- Strong background in international sourcing/manufacturing (experience with overseas manufacturing partners strongly preferred)
- Track record of building and leading teams through periods of growth or transformation
- Deep familiarity with S&OP processes, ERP systems, and inventory/demand planning tools
- Executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functionally and report to senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus
Why This Role
- High-impact, high-visibility executive seat with direct influence on company strategy
- Opportunity to build and shape the function rather than inherit a fully built-out team
- Competitive compensation ($225K-$250K base) plus bonus
- Onsite leadership role in a stable, growing organization
