Position Overview

We are seeking a senior networking leader to help design, build, and lead the network infrastructure supporting a growing data center operation in the Phoenix market.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who has operated within data center environments and has experience building network platforms, managing carrier relationships, designing customer connectivity solutions, and supporting both internal infrastructure and customer-facing network requirements.

The organization is actively building its technology and networking capabilities, making this an opportunity to help shape the network platform, operating model, and team from an early stage.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical networking expertise with leadership capability and will work closely with operations, technology, sales engineering, carriers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, buildout, and ongoing development of network infrastructure supporting data center facilities.
• Oversee corporate network infrastructure, including network design, monitoring, management, and ongoing operations.
• Support the management of networking equipment and infrastructure located within the company's facilities.
• Lead carrier management activities, including bringing telecommunications carriers into the facilities to support customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with carrier partners.
• Design network solutions connecting customers to telecommunications carriers.
• Develop connectivity solutions for customers operating across multiple or non-contiguous footprints within data center facilities.
• Lead network design work within the facility environment.
• Help establish the standards, processes, and operating structure required to support a growing data center networking organization.
• Partner with the sales engineering organization to ensure customer solutions align with the company's network capabilities and product offerings.
• Serve as a technical and operational leader while remaining close enough to the technology to operate effectively in a hands-on, build-stage environment.
• Help develop and grow the networking organization as business and customer requirements expand.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of:

• Leadership experience within networking, network infrastructure, or network operations.
• Experience working within data center environments.
• Demonstrated experience building or scaling network platforms.
• Strong network architecture and design experience.
• Experience managing or working directly with telecommunications carriers.
• Experience supporting customer connectivity within data center environments.
• Experience with corporate network infrastructure and network operations.
• Ability to work across technical, operational, customer-facing, and commercial teams.
• Experience partnering with sales engineering or other customer-facing technical teams.
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to operate in a growing environment where infrastructure, processes, and teams are still being built.

Location

The long-term preference is for this position to be based in the Phoenix, Arizona market.

Candidates who are not currently located in Phoenix may be considered on an individual basis, particularly if they are open to relocating to the Phoenix area.

The role may initially include remote work while the Phoenix facility and associated office environment continue to be developed, with the expectation that key leadership positions will ultimately be based in Phoenix.
