A leading investment firm is seeking a VP Legal/Compliance Data Officer to manage their Compliance framework from a data and AI perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and maintain enterprise-wide policies and procedures related to:
- Data collection, storage, retention, and disposal
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and AI regulations, including:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Monitor regulatory developments and proactively update policies.
- Conduct compliance gap assessments and risk analyses.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Develop frameworks for AI risk classification and impact assessments.
- Develop and deliver training materials on data protection and responsible AI use.
- Work closely with Legal to interpret evolving regulatory requirements.
- Partner with IT and Security on technical control alignment.
Qualifications
- JD required
- 3+ years of experience in data protection, compliance, or risk management.
- Demonstrated experience drafting formal policies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of global data privacy laws and AI governance frameworks
