I’m partnering with an established, sponsor-backed orthopedic medical-device business to appoint the leader of its global accounting function.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll take responsibility for the accounting operation across international entities, with a clear mandate to develop the team, strengthen controls and improve the financial systems supporting the business.

The scope is substantial. You’ll lead consolidated reporting and complex accounting decisions while staying close to cash management, operational accounting and the people delivering the numbers. You’ll also help bring international offices onto a common ERP platform and develop the infrastructure needed to operate with public-company rigor.

For an experienced Controller or accounting-led finance executive, this offers the opportunity to take broad ownership and make lasting improvements to how a global business operates.

What you’ll lead

• Global accounting, close and consolidation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting under US GAAP.
• Development of the accounting team, including hiring, coaching and setting clear responsibilities.
• Internal controls, addressing deficiencies and building toward Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Technical accounting, audited financial statements and the relationship with external auditors.
• Treasury and banking relationships, cash reporting and forecasting in partnership with FP&A.
• ERP and consolidation improvements, including integration of international offices.
• Accounting support for acquisitions, financing and other complex transactions, working directly with the CFO.

What you’ll bring

• A CPA qualification and 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Direct SEC reporting experience, ideally including ownership of 10-K/10-Q preparation or review.
• Broad accounting leadership across international or complex multi-entity operations.
• Strong US GAAP, consolidation, technical accounting and internal-controls expertise.
• Medical technology or medical-device industry experience.
• Experience working in public-company and private-equity-backed environments.
• A public-accounting background and experience improving accounting teams, processes and financial systems.

Your current title could be Corporate Controller, Global Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, VP Finance or CFO. What matters is the responsibility you’ve personally held and your ability to combine technical judgment with practical execution.

The position is fully onsite in Gainesville, Florida. Candidates based elsewhere should be prepared to relocate.
