The Seat at a Glance

Your Mission
- Lead external financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures
- Set the technical accounting direction on complex or non-routine transactions
- Monitor new accounting standards and SEC or regulatory changes, and put plans in place to adopt them
- Oversee the close calendar and shorten reporting timelines without sacrificing accuracy
- Serve as the senior contact for external auditors through quarterly reviews and the annual audit
- Present results, variances, and key accounting positions to the Board and Audit Committee
- Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, including SOX-related work where applicable
- Build, mentor, and promote a bench of reporting and technical accounting talent
- Work alongside FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Legal so reporting reflects the full business picture
Credentials & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
- 12+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including senior leadership
- Public accounting background strongly preferred
- Deep technical command of US GAAP and SEC reporting, if applicable
- Experience presenting to boards, audit committees, and senior executives
- Proven record of leading reporting teams through growth, acquisitions, or transformation
