VP, Financial Reporting

Financial reporting is where credibility is built, and we’re looking for a senior leader to own it. This executive-level role sets the standard for how our financials are prepared, reviewed, and presented to the Board, lenders, and other stakeholders.

The Seat at a Glance

• Senior leadership role within the finance organization
• Direct visibility with the CFO, executive team, and Board
• Hybrid schedule based in Cleveland, OH

Your Mission

• Lead external financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures
• Set the technical accounting direction on complex or non-routine transactions
• Monitor new accounting standards and SEC or regulatory changes, and put plans in place to adopt them
• Oversee the close calendar and shorten reporting timelines without sacrificing accuracy
• Serve as the senior contact for external auditors through quarterly reviews and the annual audit
• Present results, variances, and key accounting positions to the Board and Audit Committee
• Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, including SOX-related work where applicable
• Build, mentor, and promote a bench of reporting and technical accounting talent
• Work alongside FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Legal so reporting reflects the full business picture

Credentials & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
• 12+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including senior leadership
• Public accounting background strongly preferred
• Deep technical command of US GAAP and SEC reporting, if applicable
• Experience presenting to boards, audit committees, and senior executives
• Proven record of leading reporting teams through growth, acquisitions, or transformation
