Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Vice President of Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $200,000 to $230,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide accounting guidance and support for complex transactions, new business initiatives, and strategic growth opportunities.

Evaluate technical accounting matters and determine appropriate financial reporting treatment for unique or non routine events.

Assess acquisitions, investments, and business arrangements to ensure accurate accounting and disclosure practices.

Lead implementation efforts related to new accounting regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.

Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and team development efforts to enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements:

A Bachelor or Master degree in accounting.

Active CPA certification is required.

12+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both.

Extensive knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and technical accounting research.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex accounting matters and provide practical recommendations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Previous experience within financial services, transaction advisory, accounting consulting, or related environments.

Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with internal teams, external auditors, and business partners.

Forward thinking mindset with an interest in leveraging technology, automation, and innovative tools to improve accounting processes.
