About the Opportunity
Voice Up is seeking compassionate educators, mentors, coaches, counselors, youth leaders, pastors, social workers, and other trusted adults to become Teach for Purpose Fellows.
This is more than a teaching opportunity. It is an opportunity to help children discover their voice, build confidence, develop courage, and begin identifying their unique purpose in life.
Teach for Purpose Fellows use their own experiences and life lessons to inspire and encourage the next generation through meaningful conversations and small-group learning experiences.

What You'll Do
Lead purpose-focused discussions and small-group learning experiences with children.

Embedded inside that platform is a dedicated Medicaid Awareness Internship, open to undergraduate and graduate students in any field, with no policy background required. Interns are explicitly told they will not sit behind a desk: the work is grounded in real community partnerships, connecting local organizations that already serve Medicaid recipients to plain-language information about what is changing and how to respond before a deadline arrives. A separate, more operational platform in the same ecosystem gives community health workers an actual case-management tool for exactly this kind of work client profiles, encounter logging, and referral tracking across ten service categories, from housing and transportation to the mental-health and medical referrals a Medicaid renewal so often turns on. It is, in its way, a strange kind of victory lap for a school founded on the premise that a person's most valuable knowledge is often knowledge about their own life. Here is a case in which the fluency to describe a caregiving responsibility, or a treatment history, correctly and on time, on the correct form, is the literal difference between keeping health coverage and losing it. The Naming Gap, it turns out, was never only an academic problem confined to a curriculum committee's blind spot. It is also a bureaucratic one, embedded in a federal notice with a narrow response window and the school that built its entire model around naming things precisely is now betting it can close both gaps with the same muscle, in eight languages, through platforms that already exist rather than ones still being planned.
