The Visualization & Simulation Software Engineer (Geospatial/RF Systems) will develop advanced 3D visualization and simulation tools for geospatial, satellite, and RF-based systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop real-time 3D visualization platforms using Three.js for:Satellite orbits and trajectoriesAntenna cones, beam patterns, and coverage volumesLine-of-sight and obstruction modelingBuild full-stack systems connecting Python-based simulation engines to web-based visualization clients (WebSockets, APls, streaming pipelines)Develop and optimize geometry and spatial algorithms, including:Coordinate transforms (ECEF, ENU, azimuth/elevation)Volume intersectionVisibility and occlusion detectionHandle large-scale, time-dependent datasets (interpolation, streaming, preloading strategies)Optimize rendering performance for high object counts and real-time updatesArchitect backend services for simulation, data ingestion, and preprocessingGuide system design decisions and mentor junior engineersRequired Skills/QualificationsUS CitizenAbility to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraphBS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering discipline5+ years of software development experienceStrong expertise in JavaScript/Typescript and Three.js (WebGL)Strong proficiency in Python for simulation, numerical computation, or backend servicesDeep understanding of 3D math and spatial reasoning, including:Vector math, coordinate systems, transformationsSpherical geometry and geospatial calculationsExperience building real-time or near-real-time systemsStrong algorithm development and problem-solving skills, especially for geometry-heavy problemsExperience with full-stack development (REST APls, WebSockets, client-server architecture)Desired Skills/QualificationsTS/SCI with polygraphExperience with:Satellite systems, orbital mechanics, or geospatial platformsRF/antenna modeling or signal propagationScientific visualization or simulation systemsFamiliarity with:PyVista, VTK, or similar for backend 3D processingGPU concepts (shaders, GLSL, WebGPU)Experience with Dockerized deployments and production systemsBackground in physics, aerospace, or related technical domainsExpected Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year. Placement within the range is determined by qualifications, job-related criteria, experience, internal equity and market considerations.
