We provide Subject Matter Experts (SME) free of Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) focused on independent analysis and mission support services within the disciplines of Engineering, Counter Terrorism Operations, Management, Information Technology, Signals Analysis, Administration, Cyber Security and Linguistics.FTS has an opportunity for a Visualization & Simulation Software Engineer in Chantilly, VA.The Visualization & Simulation Software Engineer will build interactive 3D applications and simulation tools focused on geospatial and RF visualization.ResponsibilitiesAssist in building 3D visualization features using Three.js:Rendering satellites, paths, and coverage areasDisplaying dynamic simulation data in real timeSupport backend development in Python for:Data processing and interpolationSimulation integrationImplement UI components and interactive controls for visualization toolsDebug and improve performance of rendering and data pipelinesLearn and contribute to spatial and geometric algorithmsCollaborate with senior engineers on system design and implementationRequired Skills/QualificationsUS CitizenAbility to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraphBS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering discipline1+ years of relevant experienceBasic proficiency in JavaScript and frontend developmentFamiliarity with PythonUnderstanding of basic 3D math concepts: Coordinates, vectors, transformationsStrong problem-solving mindset and interest in technical challengesExposure to client-server architectureDesired Skills/QualificationsTS/SCI with polygraphExperience with Three.js or other 3D/graphics librariesExposure to:Geospatial data (lat/Lon, map projections)Simulation or physics-based systemsFamiliarity with Git and collaborative workflowsInterest in algorithms, geometry, or real-time systemsExpected Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
