Job Description
General Summary of Position: This is a 3/4-time, salaried, exempt position, with typical on-site between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, M-F, throughout the 10 month school year.
- - Visual Art teaching of Children Grades PK-8
- - Maintain alignment of lessons to K-8 art and elementary standards
- - Provide instruction to multi-age classrooms (e.g. grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-8)
- - Support school faculty in Montessori Pedagogy
- - Organize and create a visually attractive art environment
- - Manage art budget for supplies and art materials
- - Manage a kiln and ceramics in the classroom
- - Support staff in play productions/project work as needed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- - BA or BS in Art Education or Fine Arts
- - Demonstrated Teaching Experience – 2 yrs.
- - Licensed Teacher: K-12 Visual Art
