Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time remote VistA/MUMPS Developer will modify and enhance VistA applications to eliminate SSN usage, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate within an Agile development team. Key responsibilities: Modify and enhance VistA/MUMPS applications to transition from SSN usage to enterprise identifiers Analyze existing VistA routines and workflows, troubleshoot defects, and implement secure code Develop and execute unit tests while supporting various testing and deployment activities Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of VistA/MUMPS development experience Strong hands-on experience programming within VistA using MUMPS/M and related platforms Experience modifying or supporting VistA packages and analyzing workflows Familiarity with Agile software development practices and software debugging Understanding of secure software development practices and healthcare data privacy requirements
