Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time remote VistA MUMPS Developer will modify and enhance VistA applications to eliminate Social Security Number usage, analyze existing functionality, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary Agile team. Key responsibilities: Modify VistA/MUMPS applications to replace SSN usage with enterprise identifiers Analyze existing routines and workflows to troubleshoot defects and implement secure code Develop and execute unit tests while supporting various testing and deployment activities Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of VistA/MUMPS development experience Strong hands-on experience programming within VistA using MUMPS/M and a comparable M-based platform Experience modifying VistA packages and analyzing workflows and application dependencies Familiarity with software debugging, source control, and Agile development practices Understanding of secure software development practices and ability to troubleshoot complex application issues
