Assistant Professor / Lecturer of Finance

Position Title: Assistant Professor or Lecturer of Finance. The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University invites applications for a full‑time faculty position beginning August 2026. Job Overview

This 10‑month contract requires teaching 21 credits across the Fall and Spring semesters, comprising a combination of undergraduate and graduate finance courses delivered in person, online synchronously, and asynchronously. The successful candidate will also serve as the primary contact for student recruitment and advising for the finance major and minor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach a balanced mix of undergraduate and graduate finance courses.
• Serve as the primary contact for student recruitment and advising for the finance major and minor.
• Participate in school and university‑wide committees.
• Advise students majoring in the school’s programs.
• Develop curriculum and participate in assessment.
• Remain current in the discipline and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Ph.D. or graduate degree in Finance.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional or industry experience in finance.
• Prior university‑level teaching experience.
• Evidence of scholarly engagement and professional development.
• Professional certification (CFP, CFA, or ChFC).

Salary Range

Lecturer: $58,000 – $70,000; Assistant Professor: $68,000 – $80,000
