Join Our Team: Virtual Program Facilitator for Brain Injury Intervention ClassesBrain Injury Solutions (BIS) is a mission-driven organization providing person-centered case management and support to brain injury survivors and their families. We pride ourselves on a collaborative, compassionate team environment — and we're growing! We are currently hiring one part-time, remote facilitator to lead our Community Living Connection (CLiC) online brain injury intervention classes.

This role offers meaningful, hands-on experience supporting brain injury survivors and caregivers in a virtual environment. Our Facilitators often find this work deeply rewarding and inspiring.Position Highlights:Part-time (up to 20 hours per week depending on program needs).Remote (within our service area of Southwest/Central Virginia) with paid training (in-person training preferred).Agency-provided computer equipment for data entry, documentation, and performance of job duties.Starting hourly wage of $15.00/hour with the potential to increase after 90 days based on performanceFlexible scheduling, with general availability required during:Weekdays (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)Evenings twice per month (6:30 PM - 8:30 PM)Facilitator Responsibilities Include:CLiC Foundation:Guide participants through a structured cognitive compensatory curriculum with engaging discussions and activitiesRuns Fall & Spring, 12 weeks/session, 2x per week, up to 9 hours/weekCLiC Forward & CLiC Forward 1:Support participant wellness through interactive discussion, instructor content, and peer sharingForward: 12 weeks/session, 2x per weekForward 1: 6 weeks/session, 1 hour/sessionCLiC Care:Facilitate monthly discussions on brain injury wellness topics, including occasional guest speakersMeets 2nd Tuesday each monthCLiC Social:Host monthly peer social gatherings featuring online games and lighthearted discussionMeets last Thursday each monthCLiC Daily:Lead weekly sessions centered around structured content or live instructionOngoing, weekly throughout the yearCLiC REIgnite:Moderate sessions focused on long-term health and reintegration skills for participants in the Roanoke City Adult Detention CenterWellness and community reentry focusQualifications & Requirements: Knowledge & Skills:Familiarity with brain injury and other neurological disordersUnderstanding of adult learning principles and programming for individuals with disabilitiesKnowledge of physical, cognitive, psychological, emotional, and/or communication disabilitiesBasic understanding of behavioral management techniquesAbility to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with participants, caregivers, and team membersClear and effective verbal and written communication skillsComfort with technology and ability to quickly learn new tools (training provided)Job Requirements:Undergraduate degree in one of the following fields of study: Psychology, Life Sciences, Allied or Biomed Sciences, Sociology, Public Health, Social Work, or other related fieldsRelated certifications with relevant coursework will be considered in lieu of undergraduate degreeIntermediate computer proficiencyValid driver's license and access to a personal vehicleMust pass a criminal background check and drug screeningMust be able to meet the physical and cognitive demands required for safe and effective performance of essential job functionsAbility to move up to 30 poundsAbility to distinguish colors in an emergencyAbility to communicate professionally and empathetically with a variety of individuals, including clients, caregivers, staff, and community partnersWhy Join BIS:Make a direct impact in the lives of brain injury survivors and caregiversWork with a supportive, mission-aligned teamGain valuable experience in remote facilitation, health education, and case managementEnjoy a flexible, engaging role with room to growIf you are compassionate, organized, and excited about empowering others through connection and support, we'd love to hear from you.For questions about the position or to apply, please email your resume to Kathie King at ADA Statement: Brain Injury Solutions is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals.
