Patient Care Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The role supports the delivery of safe, timely, and patient-centered care by assisting with basic clinical and supportive care needs in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. Essential Functions
- Provide direct patient care assistance, including support with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, safety, and comfort measures.
- Assist licensed nursing staff with delegated patient care activities according to established clinical protocols. Observe patient condition and promptly report changes or concerns to licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to patient care activities.
- Support patient safety, infection prevention, and environmental cleanliness standards.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and follow escalation procedures.
- Prioritize assigned tasks and utilize resources effectively in a high-acuity clinical environment.
