Managing a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, the full-time Virginia Licensed Workers Comp Associate will provide strategic legal counsel, represent clients in court and arbitrations, and perform extensive legal research and drafting. Key responsibilities: Conduct legal analysis of claims and causes of action while managing deadlines and assignments independently Draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and respond to discovery requests, collaborating closely with partners and clients Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions, preparing for trials and retaining expert witnesses as needed Required qualifications: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Active license to practice law in Virginia; additional bar admissions are a plus Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant practice group Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations
