To support student learning in surgical technology, the part-time Virginia Licensed Surgical Technology Adjunct will plan, organize, and teach courses in a classroom, remote, or online environment while providing timely feedback and engaging with students outside of class. Key responsibilities Create a learning environment that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and skills in surgical technology Align course activities with student learning outcomes and employ various active learning strategies Deliver instruction and conduct meaningful assessments of student learning while adhering to college policies Required qualifications Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a related field Graduate of an accredited surgical technology education program National certification in surgical technology through an NCCA-accredited program Minimum of two years of experience in the operating room scrub role or as a surgical technology instructor within the past five years Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format
