Virginia Licensed IT Security Manager

Leading the development of cyber defense capabilities, the full-time Virginia Licensed IT Security Manager will oversee Security Operations personnel and manage incident response, threat intelligence, and security automation in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Lead daily SOC monitoring, alert triage, and incident response while managing analysts and establishing a sustainable coverage model Build and mature incident response procedures and coordinate high-severity incident responses across various departments Develop detection engineering programs and establish metrics, dashboards, and performance management for cybersecurity operations Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing Security Operations or SOC teams Demonstrated experience in building SOC capabilities and incident response programs Proven success implementing SIEM, EDR, and automated response capabilities Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, and relevant cloud security certifications
