Virginia Licensed Gastrointestinal Coder

To support revenue integrity and compliance, the fully remote Virginia Licensed Gastrointestinal Coder will independently review and code complex clinical documentation for surgical procedures, office-based services, and Evaluation & Management encounters. Key responsibilities Independently review and code complex gastrointestinal surgical procedures and office-based encounters Apply advanced knowledge of coding guidelines, including CPT, ICD-10-CM, and payer-specific requirements Identify documentation gaps and coding risks while collaborating with providers for clarification as needed Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 5+ years of relevant coding experience required Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
