We are seeking a Videographer/Assistant Editor to join our Broadcast team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Videographer/Assistant Editor, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Capture video for Samaritan's Purse and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association events and productions, independently setting up and operating small ENG/EFP shoots, including cameras, lighting, audio, sets, and other production needs.
• Support productions from pre-production through final delivery by gathering production information, participating in creative planning, and collaborating with writers, producers, directors, and the Creative Director to execute the intended creative vision.
• Edit compelling stories using non-linear editing techniques, crafting cohesive story arcs from interviews, footage, and scripts; assist with shot selection, script shot-sheeting, rough cuts, graphics, audio, and final edits.
• Manage field production equipment for domestic and international assignments, including packing, transportation, inventory, cleaning, maintenance, airline requirements, and required documentation; research equipment needs and assist with purchasing recommendations.
• Coordinate logistics for international productions, including customs clearances and ensuring required equipment and supplies are available, properly prepared, and ready for each assignment.
• Other duties as assigned.

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong knowledge of professional video production techniques, including camera operation, lighting, and field audio recording.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling principles and techniques used to create compelling video content.
• Proficiency with non-linear editing systems and post-production workflows.
• Strong knowledge of professional field production equipment, including its operation, setup, care, and maintenance.
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Travel: This position requires domestic and international travel of approximately 110 days/year. Maintaining required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary. Position requires flexibility and availability for immediate deployment, both domestic and international, to support critical, time-sensitive assignments that may require extended periods away from home.
