Video Surveillance OperatorWork Location: Las Vegas, NV - 89118 Duration: 06+ Months Contract Night Shifts: Tuesday - Saturday - 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM Role OverviewThe Surveillance Operator is a desk-based, onsite security monitoring role responsible for reviewing live video feeds, identifying potential threats, and taking immediate action such as issuing real-time audio warnings or contacting law enforcement/property representatives.Operators monitor multiple sites nationwide using proprietary Blue Eye software and work in a fast-paced, multi-screen environment. This role is not related to casino surveillance and is not located on the Las Vegas Strip.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor multiple live video surveillance feeds to identify suspicious or unsafe activityDeliver real-time audio warnings to individuals onsite when appropriateEscalate incidents to police departments, first responders, or site contacts as neededWrite clear, accurate, and detailed incident notes and documentationManage several computer screens, tabs, and applications simultaneouslyMaintain strong attendance, punctuality, and consistent focus throughout the shiftEscalate technical issues to IT; no troubleshooting knowledge requiredRequired QualificationsAbility to speak, read, and write English clearlyComfortable speaking with law enforcement and property managersProficient computer skills, including navigating multiple monitors and tabsMinimum typing speed of 40 WPMAbility to sit and focus for long periodsStrong attention to detail in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentAll new hires must cover weekends.Preferred Backgrounds (Nice-to-Haves)Video gaming experience (fast reaction speed, multi-screen familiarity)Call center or dispatch-style experiencePrevious loss prevention or surveillance experienceExperience in fast-paced desk environmentsNot preferred:Security guards accustomed to physical patrolsCandidates expecting flexible schedules or remote workWork EnvironmentFast-paced operations centerHeavy computer and multi-monitor useSafe, climate-controlled office settingStructured, non-flexible schedules — employees must work the shift hired forCommunication currently via Microsoft platforms; transitioning to Google Meet/Google MailOccasional overtime — not mandatory, but must be flexible for up to 20 minutes over shift if stuck on an active call.
