VideographerLocation: Arlington, VA Duration: 1 week (March 17th through March 22nd) Pay Rate: $40/hrDescription and Qualifications:Capable of standing for extended periods of time while operating cameraWorking knowledge of live studio operations, including setup and breakdown of set pieces, camera equipment and video patchingOperational knowledge of camera and lens systemsAble to zoom, pan, tilt, focus, ped, dolly and track shots while maintaining focus and framingUnderstanding of the needs of the viewer and ability to imagine the visual flow of the broadcastKnowledgeable and versatile in photographic equipment, as well as lighting, composition, and movementKnowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operation of telecommunications systemsIn-depth knowledge of stationery and portable video camerasFlexibility to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, holidays, and weekendsTest, clean and maintain broadcast equipmentFollow a shot list, while choosing the angles and distancesShow dialog and match the shots to the actionCome up with solutions in pre-production and on the fly during a showMove, lift, push and position equipment, cables and material of various shapes, sizes and weights including maneuvering tripods, pedestals, and set piecesBachelor's Degree in film, production or related field preferred2-3 years of experience working in a live television or media production environment with proficiency in Pedestal and Robotic Camera systemsAt least 1 year of experience operating Pedestal, Robotic, Jib and Handheld Cameras
