AfroSabor is a Black-centered Afro-Latin cultural organization based in New York City focused on community, belonging, and cultural preservation through dance, music, and social experiences.
We are seeking a volunteer Video Editor to help transform footage from our workshops, socials, and community events into engaging short-form content for Instagram and other social platforms.
Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels and other short-form videos from existing footage
- Add music, captions, graphics, and transitions where appropriate
- Help showcase the energy, joy, and community of AfroSabor through video content
- Collaborate with AfroSabor leadership on content direction and priorities
- Maintain consistent communication regarding project status and timelines
Qualifications
- Experience editing short-form video content
- Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, or similar platforms
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in culture, community-building, storytelling, or the arts
Commitment
- A few flexible hours per week
- Fully remote
