Role Overview
Video editors apply their editing and technical tool expertise to AI research projects, helping improve how AI systems understand and perform real-world professional video tasks. Work is project-based and runs year-round, with new project opportunities opening periodically across different areas of expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Use video-editing tools such as OpenShot, Shotcut, and related technical software to complete project tasks.
- Develop domain-specific prompts and evaluate large language model responses related to video workflows and editing tasks.
- Work asynchronously with AI research teams to provide subject-matter input, assessments, and quality feedback.
- Follow project-specific instructions and contribute to iterative review cycles as requested.
- At least 3+ years of work experience using one or more of the following: OpenShot, Shotcut, or other related technical video-editing tools.
- Ability to work independently and asynchronously with distributed AI research teams.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Schedule: Flexible hours, asynchronous work, no minimum hourly commitment.
- Placement into specific projects depends on project availability, opportunities open periodically throughout the year.
Up to $125/hr (depending on the project)
Eligibility- F-1 students with valid CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects, subject to your school and Designated School Official approval. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement. STEM OPT is not supported.
