Video DirectorThe Video Director leads the strategy, storytelling, production, and execution of video content across Victory Church. This role is responsible for creating compelling, high-quality content that supports the vision of the church, engages people emotionally, and drives ministry impact across all campuses and digital platforms. This is not an editing-only role.
This role owns creative outcomes.Experience and Knowledge Required:5+ years of experience in video production, filmmaking, content creation, or related fieldStrong portfolio demonstrating storytelling, editing, and cinematography abilityAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere ProExperience with After Effects, motion graphics, color grading, and audio mixing preferredStrong understanding of camera systems, lighting, audio, and production workflowsExperience managing projects from concept through final deliveryStrong organizational and communication skillsExperience leading teams, volunteers, or freelance creatives preferredBachelor's degree in film, media production, communications, or related field (preferred, not required)Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Lead the vision and direction for all video content across Victory ChurchDevelop cinematic, emotionally engaging, and culturally relevant storytellingCollaborate with pastors, communicators, and ministry leaders to bring vision to lifeHelp shape the overall visual and storytelling language of Victory ChurchDrive a high standard of quality, creativity, pacing, and executionProduce testimonies, vision films, documentaries, interviews, promos, and social-first contentCreate video content that communicates life change and ministry impactLead concept development, scripting support, shooting, editing, sound design, and final deliveryCapture meaningful stories and moments across all campusesEnsure content is optimized for multiple platforms and formatsOversee production of sermon bumpers, Video Announcements, Announcement Loop content, event promos, and ministry-specific videosSupport major church initiatives including Easter, Christmas, conferences, baptisms, students, kids, and vision campaignsEnsure weekend video content supports the overall worship and communication experienceBuild and maintain scalable systems for video production and asset organizationManage project timelines, approvals, and communication workflowsUtilize tools such as Asana and Frame.io to maintain efficient collaboration and deliveryEnsure projects are organized, communicated clearly, and completed on timeHelp eliminate reactive and last-minute production workflowsRecruit, train, and lead volunteer video teams across campusesHelp build systems for ongoing content capture through volunteers and freelancersProvide creative feedback and coaching to improve quality and consistencyCollaborate closely with photography, communications, and creative teamsEnsure video content is effective, scalable, and aligned across all locationsSupport campuses with storytelling resources, capture systems, and communication toolsHelp maintain consistency in quality, tone, and execution church-wideSchedule & Event ExpectationsThis role is ministry-facing and event-driven in nature.
