This Victim Witness Coordinator provides assistance and liaison services to crime victims and witnesses to facilitate prosecutions. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Victim Witness Coordinator support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York, located in Central Islip, New York, focusing in the areas of victim and witness assistance. Typical work assignments will include:

• Serves as victim and witness assistance technical subject matter expert.
• Orients and trains new or developmental victim and witness assistance staff.
• Maintains program records, reports, and documents.
• Collaborates with law enforcement personnel, Federal investigative agency victim specialists, and social service providers.
• Identifies specific communication needs for each community interaction.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
