Responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources. Plan, direct, or coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate executives and staff managers. Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of organizations or businesses to ensure continuing operations, to maximize returns on investments and profitability. Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.

This person will oversee 15+ manufacturing Industries throughout the state of FL. Each site has an industry leader.

This person should have the ability to read and understand multiple P&L statements in numerous small manufacturing environments

This person should have a strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing process and continuous improvement

Reports to the EVP of Operations

  • Leads the operations organization by directing, developing, and coordinating activities consistent with established organizational goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Introduces and Implements programs and processes as needed to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit.Provides direction and structure for operating units.
  • Ensures that legislatively mandated missions regarding training are achieved within industry units.
  • Follows direction set by the President, EVP and Board of Directors.
  • Ensures customer requirements are consistently understood and met, with priority of on-time delivery, customer responsiveness and product quality.
  • Enforces operational discipline for accounts receivable across all of operations.
  • Works with Executive Management and the Procurement team to ensure that raw material purchases are optimized.
  • Establishes/maintains well defined labor standards and excellent utilization of the ERP system (M365).
  • Schedules detailed monthly operations reviews that are metric focused to ensure fast,steady progress in operational performance.
  • Ensures monthly/quarterly/annual revenue targets are attained within established cost models.
  • Oversees the Product Development Process for the Company as well as the overall Engineering support function.
  • Directs master planning for all production requirements and organization resources including overall demand management.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of total inventory control systems to include raw materials, finished goods and work in process with a focus on accuracy and proper levels of required inventories to optimize cash flow.
  • Develops and presents critical business analysis as needed to sustain and grow the company.
  • Develops and manages the overall capital budgets including the identification of technology alternatives to optimize performance, quality, and cost.
  • Oversees the annual budget planning process for all of Operations.
  • Develops operating strategies as part of the Executive Team.
  • Investigates, assesses and develops possible new businesses to integrate into the business model.
  • Experienced and successful in designing and implementing Lean One-Piece-Flow concepts in the manufacturing setting, using Kaizen, DMAIC, PDCA and other known concepts for successful transformation.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in Operations in a product manufacturing environment with ten (10) years in a leadership capacity leading and motivating a large and diverse workforce.
  • Strong background in all aspects of operations with emphasis on supply chain management, such as material planning and procurement;Experience Inventory control management; production planning; setting production requirements, P&L oversight; material movement; and quality assurance; effective use of ERP system; customer satisfaction.
