Our client is actively seeking a Vice President of Operations. This is an on-site executive role based in Houston, TX .
Responsibilities
- Lead operations across sterile (aseptic) and non-sterile (solid/semi-solid) pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Oversee large-scale GMP operations including tech transfer, audits, and scale-up.
- Drive operational scale-up and deliver predictable, reliable output across multiple SKUs.
- Maintain inspection readiness, manage deviations and CAPA, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Foster talent development, succession planning, and building high-performance cross-functional teams.
- Utilize AI/automation in manufacturing, workflow optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee cost control, yield improvement, and capital project execution.
- Shaping culture, systems, and operations of a fast-growing pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Qualifications / Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive leadership in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Direct experience managing both sterile (aseptic) and non-sterile (solid/semi-solid) manufacturing.
- Proven track record overseeing large-scale GMP operations including tech transfer, audits, and scale-up.
- 5+ years of executive-level management, leading cross-functional teams of 100+ staff.
- Demonstrated success with inspection readiness, deviation/CAPA management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience driving operational scale-up and delivering predictable, reliable output across multiple SKUs.
- Familiarity with AI/automation in manufacturing, workflow optimization, or data-driven decision-making.
- Strong background in talent development, succession planning, and building high-performance teams.
- Expertise in cost control, yield improvement, and capital project execution.
