About the Role
Alana Capital SA is hiring a Vice President of Funds Management to oversee fund strategy, performance, financial planning, investor reporting, liquidity, governance, and operational execution across the firm's funds. The role coordinates Investment, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Investor Relations throughout the fund lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the funds management strategy aligned with the firm's investment and business objectives
- Oversee fund performance, capital deployment, portfolio exposure, valuation, liquidity, and financial results
- Lead fund-level budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario analysis
- Oversee capital calls, investor subscriptions, redemptions, distributions, and other capital activity
- Manage quarterly and annual fund reporting, investor statements, and financial disclosures
- Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel
- Support fund launches, closings, restructurings, and new investment strategies
- Prepare materials for investment committees, fund boards, and investors
- Support fundraising, due diligence, data-room management, and investor communications
- Lead, mentor, and develop the funds management and fund reporting team
Qualifications
- 18+ years of experience in funds management, asset management, fund operations, portfolio management, fund finance, or investor reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline; MBA, CFA, CPA, or CAIA preferred
- Proven experience managing private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, hedge fund, or other investment funds
- Strong knowledge of fund structures, limited partnership agreements, capital calls, distributions, valuations, and investor reporting
- Experience supporting fundraising, fund launches, closings, and restructurings
