I’m partnering with a well‑established, complex organization to recruit a Vice President of Divisional Accounting to lead accounting strategy for a large trading‑focused business with multiple subsidiaries.
This is a senior‑level leadership role for someone who thrives in scale, complexity, and visibility - owning divisional accounting, partnering closely with executive leadership, and guiding teams through growth, acquisitions, and ongoing transformation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead all divisional accounting, management reporting, and financial analysis activities
- Oversee and review significant accounting transactions and judgments
- Play a hands‑on role in M&A and post‑merger integration, including purchase accounting, valuation, and balance sheet reviews
- Drive the consolidated close process in partnership with corporate accounting and financial reporting teams
- Support risk management and internal controls across multiple subsidiaries and affiliates
- Serve on select subsidiary boards and advise senior leadership on financial performance and risk
- Stay ahead of new accounting standards and assess business impact
- Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing divisional accounting organization
What They’re Looking For
- CPA required with public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus)
- 20+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- Deep experience across accounting operations, financial controls, audits, M&A, and complex entities
- Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multi‑entity environments
- Strong executive presence with the ability to partner across trading, finance, and operations
