Haymaker is in search of a Vice President who can help us continue building on our stellar reputation and scale our work to more companies and markets.

The right candidate will have tech media in their bones, a rich network of reporter relationships, an outstanding track record of running communications strategies for high-growth technology companies, and a love of mentoring young talent.

Since our clients range from startups to publicly-traded companies, you should be as comfortable speaking with an early-stage founder as you are with a public company CMO.

We work hard but have a lot of fun winning on behalf of our clients and building unique, industry-defining events like our Media Summit conference series.

Location

Manhattan, NY (Hybrid model with required 3 days in-office)

Comp range

$175k – $225k, in addition to firm incentives

Required Experience

• Undergraduate degree or higher
• 8 – 12 years of technology PR experience
  • Some agency experience required

Core Tasks

• Flawlessly lead multiple client accounts
• Hands on media relations at the tier 1 level
• Team mentorship and guidance, including resource management based on big-picture agency needs
• Provide vision and awareness to solve issues before they become big problems
• Anticipating new levers for client and company growth
