Job Overview
Lead the Mid-Corp Relationship Management function within the Digital, Technology & Communications sector for Citi Commercial Bank in Hong Kong. Provide strategic client and portfolio management, develop innovative solutions, drive revenue growth, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth, cultivate deeper client relationships, and strategically acquire new clients for the Hong Kong Commercial Bank franchise.
- Introduce solutions to clients in building and strengthening an effective portfolio.
- Work with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet clients’ individual needs.
- Ensure the appropriate “Know Your Client” and other compliance deliverables are met.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet.
- Maximize client experience by proactively sharing market updates, trends, and intelligence.
- Execute strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels.
- Manage the credit relationship of the client, coordinate and supervise the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies and guidelines at all times.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6–10 years of professional experience, preferably in relationship management within commercial and/or corporate banking.
- Experience covering the Digital, Technology & Communications sector is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and processes, and a track record of providing sound banking and financial advice and solutions to clients.
- Demonstrated credit skills by structuring more complex deals, which can include capital market transactions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (e.g. negotiation, consultative skills, leadership).
- Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisions.
- Highly focused, able to rapidly identify key priorities and communicate them clearly.
- Proactive approach in strengthening business relationships with clients, delivering innovative approaches to meeting clients’ needs.
- Ability to embrace new technology and understand the role digital plays in the experience delivered for clients.
- Quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights.
- Fluent in Mandarin is an advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.
