Onsite Full Time Banking & Lending

  • Participate in meetings with private equity sponsors and borrowers to develop an understanding of a company
  • Review confidential investment memorandums, management/lender presentations, and other documents
  • Evaluate senior financing requests to determine credit quality and appropriate loan structures
  • Identify transaction merits, risks, and mitigants; perform market, industry, and sponsor due diligence
  • Lead due diligence on loan and investment opportunities with a Managing Director
  • Create investment theses and make investment recommendations to the Managing Director
  • Advocate for and present deals to the Bank’s Officers Loan Committee
  • Construct and maintain detailed financial models, develop sensitivity analyses, generate internal approval memoranda, and draft term sheets
  • Assist with origination activity through closing of new transactions
  • Monitor and enforce loan agreement terms with the portfolio management team
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with borrowing clients
  • Coordinate investment closings with the Bank’s operations team
  • Supervise assigned employees and monitor work progress
  • Recruit, select, orient, and train employees
  • Manage employee performance through development, coaching, and counseling
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 8 years minimum of overall relevant financial services, investment banking or lending experience required; 5-6 years of Fund/Lender Finance experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year in a manager role preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented
  • Adaptable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Can work independently and within a team; solution-oriented with a collaborative approach
  • Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including financial modeling in lender/structured finance
  • Strong financial statement analysis skills with a firm grasp of accounting and finance matters
