Vice President, Knowledge Management
Location: Chicago, IL or Denver, CO (3 days per week in office)
Overview: Leads the firm’s enterprise knowledge management strategy, department, and capabilities, advancing capture, organization, and leveraging of intellectual capital to support business development, client delivery, innovation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the ongoing development and execution of enterprise knowledge management strategy aligned with business priorities and growth objectives.
- Oversee the firm’s knowledge management infrastructure, repositories, governance standards, taxonomy, and content lifecycle management processes.
- Partner with consulting and operational leaders to improve the capture, organization, and dissemination of intellectual capital across practices and functions.
- Drive adoption and continuous improvement of knowledge management tools, platforms, workflows, and user experiences.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and consulting teams to support high‑quality, efficient proposal development and client pursuit activities.
- Develop and maintain governance processes to ensure content quality, consistency, relevance, and compliance with firm standards.
- Lead initiatives to improve searchability, accessibility, and usability of firm knowledge resources and data assets.
- Partner with IT, data, digital, and AI leadership teams to develop and operationalize a scalable enterprise AI and knowledge enablement strategy.
- Help evaluate, implement, and govern AI‑enabled knowledge management tools, intelligent search capabilities, automation solutions, and emerging technologies.
- Establish governance, standards, and best practices related to AI‑assisted content management, knowledge curation, and enterprise information usage.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, insight generation, and content accessibility through responsible and practical application of AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between knowledge management strategy, enterprise technology priorities, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across the organization to foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
- Lead, mentor, and develop knowledge management team members and associated resources.
- Monitor KM performance metrics, adoption trends, and operational effectiveness, providing regular reporting and recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in knowledge management, content management, consulting operations, digital enablement, or related professional services leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise knowledge management programs, systems, and governance models within a consulting, healthcare, or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of sales operations and enablement, intellectual capital management, and consulting engagement and delivery workflows.
- Experience implementing or optimizing KM technologies, collaboration platforms, document management systems, enterprise search tools, and AI‑enabled solutions.
- Strong understanding of emerging AI technologies, content intelligence, digital collaboration platforms, and scalable knowledge enablement capabilities.
- Experience partnering with IT, data, analytics, and digital transformation teams to implement scalable technology‑enabled solutions.
- Familiarity with governance considerations related to AI‑enabled knowledge management, information security, and enterprise content standards.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable operational and technology strategies.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with attention to operational effectiveness and user experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with team development and performance management.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution in a fast‑paced environment.
- High degree of professionalism, collaboration, and client service orientation.

Education
Bachelor’s degree required.

Work Environment
- Travel: Occasional 0–10%.
- Role location: Chicago, IL or Denver, CO; requires three days per week in office and time in a home office for remote work.
- Work is performed in a combination of office and home setting; may require a home office and proximity to an airport for work‑related travel.
Estimated Hiring Range
$160,000 – $200,000 per year.
