Vice President Finance

The Vice President of Finance will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of multiple brands. This will include direct responsibility for finance, forecasting, strategic planning, budgeting, retail lease analysis, any vendor agreement analysis (i.e., license partners).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives. Key resource to the development and maintenance of the 3-year plan.
• Key business partner to Division President, CFO, and Planning
• Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, provide analysis of results, and communicate risks and opportunities.
• Manage all aspects of the P&L.
• Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining an ongoing cost cutting system. Compile key performance metrics and report on them to the executive team.
• Work in partnership with Head of Retail to develop overall retail strategy, analyze opportunities, and assist in negotiations.
• Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
• Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
• 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in a multi-brand apparel vertical
• Experience working in a wholesale or retail business.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
• Strong listening, problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• Hands on, likes to roll up sleeves and “get it done” while also being a strategic leader.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Track record of leading high performing teams.
• Comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment.
