Vice President Finance

Woods & Co Recruitment is excited to be recruiting for a VP of Finance to join a growing US business at an exciting stage of expansion. This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially minded finance professional who can take ownership of the financial function while helping shape the company’s next phase of growth.

Partnering closely with the Country Lead, you’ll lead financial strategy and operations across reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, and business analysis, while providing the insight needed to support key commercial decisions. What you’ll do:

• Lead financial operations including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Oversee inventory controls, client P&L, and inventory evaluations.
• Manage US statutory, tax, and payroll compliance, coordinating audits and external advisors.
• Support legal and supplier contracts with strategic insights.
• Oversee banking relationships, AP, AR, payroll, and internal controls.
• Lead and mentor a collaborative finance team, supporting their growth and development.

What we’re looking for:

• Progressive finance experience, with strong expertise across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Proven finance leadership experience, including managing and developing teams and overseeing the broader finance function.
• Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to turn financial data into actionable insights and support strategic business decisions.
• Experience scaling a business or finance function, ideally within a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented or entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong understanding of US finance operations, including tax, payroll, statutory reporting, compliance, and audit processes.
