Vice President, Electrical EngineerWSP is currently initiating a search for a Vice President, Electrical Engineer to join our Property & Buildings team in Irvine, CA.This leadership role is ideal for a licensed Electrical Engineer with deep healthcare experience who brings both technical excellence and business development acumen. You will play a critical role in delivering complex healthcare projects while helping grow and strengthen WSP's presence in the Southern California healthcare market.At WSP, we are driven by inspiring the right people to be part of our future-focused business objectives. Our devotion to collaboration enables us to build communities and deliver innovative solutions for the built environment.Your ImpactServe as a technical leader for electrical engineering design on complex healthcare projects (hospitals, clinical facilities, life sciences, and related sectors)Lead the full project lifecycle from concept development through construction and close-outDrive client relationships and business development efforts, including pursuits, proposals, and market growth strategiesCoordinate, review, and approve electrical system designs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulationsOversee design of power distribution, emergency systems, lighting, and life safety systemsProvide strategic direction and mentorship to engineering teams, supporting staff development and technical excellenceCollaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions aligned with client objectivesAct as a trusted advisor to clients, strengthening long-term partnerships and expanding WSP's healthcare footprintWho You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license required12+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering design, with a strong emphasis on healthcare facilitiesDemonstrated experience leading large, complex healthcare projectsProven success in client engagement and business developmentStrong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and healthcare-specific codes/standardsExcellent leadership, communication, and project management skillsPreferred QualificationsEstablished network within the Southern California healthcare marketExperience working on large, multi-disciplinary teams across regional or national projectsFamiliarity with Revit/BIM and advanced design technologiesPrior experience in a leadership or executive-level engineering roleWSP Benefits:WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.
