Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $100,000 - $110,000/year, DOE + performance-based bonus (5-10% of base)

Overview:

The Vice President, ReadyToWork® is responsible for building and sustaining a skilled workforce that supports supply chain operations. This leader is responsible for designing training programs, managing workforce development initiatives, and fostering partnerships with educational institutions and other organizations to support employee development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement workforce strategies and initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies
  • Design and deliver training programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Establish partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, and industry partners to support workforce development efforts
  • Lead initiatives to upskill employees in digital tools like warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and AI-driven logistics platforms
  • Manage Workforce Development grant and bid operations; and stakeholder management
  • Oversee apprenticeship, internship, and leadership development programs
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure workforce development programs are integrated with overall business goals
  • Represent the company in workforce development councils and industry associations
  • Use workforce analytics to track and report on labor trends, training ROI, and operational impact
  • Manage the learning management system and ensure accurate record-keeping of training activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in workforce development and talent management in logistics operations
  • Strong knowledge of logistics industry trends, labor market dynamics, and compliance requirements
  • Proven success in leading workforce initiatives in supply chain operations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with deep understanding of logistics workforce challenges
  • Familiarity with AI tools to optimize workforce development across the organization
  • Business Intelligence data analytic skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic organizational structure where flexibility and teamwork are essential elements of success
