Vice President Of ConstructionThe Vice President of Construction will provide both strategic and hands-on leadership across a large portfolio of complex capital projects, ensuring delivery excellence across schedule, cost, quality, safety, and customer requirements. This role requires deep technical expertise in data center construction, strong financial and commercial acumen, and the ability to lead distributed teams and external partners across multiple markets.This is a high-impact leadership position combining executive oversight with active involvement in execution strategy, cost optimization, contractor management, and cross-functional coordination across development, engineering, operations, and commercial teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee all construction activities across multiple data center projects and active regionsDirect a team of construction directors responsible for individual campuses and project portfoliosEnsure strict governance of capital expenditure budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and financial reporting across all programsOversee full lifecycle project execution including preconstruction planning, competitive bidding, contractor selection, construction delivery, commissioning, and closeoutDrive consistent delivery of projects aligned with schedule, budget, safety, quality, and contractual requirementsPartner with sales and commercial teams to ensure client requirements are incorporated into project execution and delivery outcomesProvide executive leadership in resolving complex design, construction, and delivery challenges in real timeLead cross-functional coordination between engineering, design, operations, procurement, and external delivery partnersOversee vendor and contractor management including qualification, performance evaluation, and long-term relationship developmentSupport capital planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting in collaboration with finance and development leadershipReview major bid packages, cost estimates, and contract structures to ensure value optimization and risk mitigationDrive continuous improvement through structured lessons-learned feedback loops across all projects and regionsProduce and review executive-level reporting on project performance, cost, and schedule on a monthly and quarterly basisManage resource planning and workforce allocation across internal teams and third-party partnersMentor, coach, and evaluate senior construction leadership to strengthen organizational capabilityAlign construction execution with operational requirements to ensure long-term facility performance and maintainabilityIdentify cost optimization opportunities, alternative design solutions, and value engineering strategiesKey Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)10–15+ years of construction management experience, with 15–20 years preferred in senior leadership rolesProven experience delivering large-scale data center or mission-critical construction projects from inception to completionStrong technical knowledge across CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP systemsDemonstrated expertise in construction cost control, estimating, budgeting, and financial managementExperience managing multi-project portfolios across geographically distributed regionsStrong leadership experience managing senior construction teams and external delivery partnersExcellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive-level influencing skillsAbility to operate in fast-paced, high-capital, schedule-driven environmentsWillingness to travel extensively ( up to 90% or more depending on business needs)
