As theVice President,Commerce you will lead the development ofcommerce strategies that drive revenue growth, increase product conversion, and enhance customer engagement. This role requires a leader with a strong strategic vision, deep retail commerceexpertise, and a passion for turning data-driven insights into compelling narratives.
This individual willownthe development ofretailstrategy forthe key brands within the client’s portfolioandcollaborateacrossteams to deliverend-to-end commerce solutions that drive business impact. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with confidence, and is known fortransforming insights into action. You willprovide consistentlysuperior commerce media strategies, ideas and marketplace solutions. You willbe responsible foradvancing the client’s unique positionwithintheir key retail customers, as well as defining standards and best practices to deliver innovative and flawless campaigns.
Responsibilities
Day to Day Role Overview:
- Key lead for client conversationsrelated to retail media, acts asstrategicbridge between media and shopper team for streamlining omni-channel strategies with key retail partners
- Interpret client needs, and develop strategic solutions that address the needs and goals for their business
- Partner withPower of One teamto deliver connected commerce plans to the client
- Direct the development, presentation,and maintenance of commercestrategyplansincludingobjectives, strategic initiatives, updates,and point-of-views (POVs) on proposals
- Ability toanticipateand quickly assess continually changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly
- Plan and developcutting-edgecommerce strategies from brief development to RFP management with retail media networks and offsite partners that drive revenue growth, optimize conversions, and enhance customer engagement
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance, ensuring alignment with businessobjectiveswhile offering feedback to improve client outcomes
- Manage and nurture partnerships with retail media networks and 3rdparty vendorsto maximize ROI and efficiency
- Stay ahead of industry trends,identifyinggrowth opportunities, and implementing best practices
- Supervise, mentor, and develop retail media strategists, fostering career growth and skill development within the team
- Represent the team as a key member of thecommerceteam, influencing decision-making and shaping media strategy direction
- Managecommerce team resources, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
Core Competencies:
- Media Planning & Execution – Lead paid search, display, and retail media strategy development.
- Thought Leadership & Client Strategy – Serve as a strategic resource for both internal teams and clients
- Commerce Strategy – Drive innovation in display, social, influencer, and onsite activations within RMNs and 3rdparty vendors
- Process Management & Optimization – Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Communication & Relationship Building – Establish and maintain strong client relationships through clear and effective communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing,advertisingor a related field
- 10+ years of account management experience in ecommerce/retail media; 8+ years within commerce strategy, agency experience highly preferred
- 8+ years ofdemonstratedsuccess in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering innovation and collaboration
- Extensive experience managing large-scale teams in the digital environment, with a clear understanding of media planning and buying processes
- Strong background in RMNs including (but not limited to) Walmart, Amazon, Target, Kroger, or Instacart.
- Expert understanding ofcommercechannel landscape, buying platforms and new/evolving product offerings
- Demonstrated problem solving, organization, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and represent the agency in the marketplace
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in driving revenue growth and managing budgets
- Experience working within theCPGcategory,an added plus
- Strong comfort with key retail media technologies such as automationtools(pacvue,skai,etc), buying platforms such as Amazon and Walmart Search and DSP, and measurement partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational,interpersonaland analytical skills
- Excellent leadership ability to drive team to deliver results

Compensation Range: USD $159,695.00 - USD $255,645.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
