The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead clients strategically and tactically in Commerce marketing. They will lead a team in the conception and delivery of innovative, business-building search and Commerce marketing solutions, including organic and paid optimization, heavy marketing on Amazon, Triad, and other Commerce channels while continuing to stay on top of evolving search platforms and advanced analytics. The VP will also provide engagement leadership, develop senior level client relationships, and serve as an expert and trusted advisor.Proven account management experience in an agency environment is essential.

Experience managing campaigns across major retail media platforms is a must.ResponsibilitiesProductOverall control of workflow and assigned responsibilities within their group. They will oversee the progress of all projects and provide assistance, where necessary, to assure timely completion of projectsEnsure that projects are produced completely and efficientlySet strategic principles for client search initiatives based on objectivesDevelop action plans to achieve and measure campaign success, including identifying important metrics and methods for measurement and improvementEvaluate and recommend full spectrum of Commerce alliances, including all appropriate engine partners, search platforms, bid and campaign management toolsWork with strategic planning, digital planning and outside ad agencies to ensure search complements all client marketing activityKeep clients and agency counterparts informed on latest developments in the Commerce industryGrow agency Commerce business through new business and organic client growthKeep up with growing Commerce platforms and trends, understand how Commerce and other media channels work together, and look holistically to plan for client businesses/goalsTake part in client and inter-agency education of Commerce, as well as developing intellectual capital, including standard processes, case studies, and official agency points-of-viewPeopleEstablish and foster a culture that inspires talentAllocate assignments to demonstrate each person's skills, as well as motivate their interests and challenge their minds Encourage thorough evaluation of Commerce marketing strategies while finding opportunity for competitive advantageDevelop direct reports by providing ongoing feedback and conducting employee evaluationsRecruit and retain top search marketing talent, growing the Commerce team to deliver on client and agency goalsClientsServe as client senior point of contact, able to provide effective long-term strategic guidance and counselMaster, identify, and communicate trends in Commerce and in client industriesStay up to date with all Spark/Publicis Commerce client initiatives and be able to introduce other client experiences with similar goals and targets to existing or potential partnersDefine and evaluate client competition online, as well as how it relates to Commerce initiativesEstablish appropriate account staffing, scope of services, and fee proposalsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:10+ years of progressive levels of e-commerce / shopper/retail media experience with several years in the Commerce spaceIn-depth activation and optimization experience with Retail Media platforms (Walmart Connect, Kroger Precision Marketing, Amazon, Roundel, Sam's Club MAP, etc.)Experience with at least one major bid management tool (Pacvue or SKAI) and Retailer data and analytic tools (Luminate/Scintilla, Stratum, AMC)Experience with Amazon AAP/Display a plusExperience with organic and paid searchExperience applying search marketing to brand-building and direct response initiativesStrong command of search engine research and reporting resourcesDeep experience with at least one major bid management toolDemonstrated leadership and management skillsDemonstrated eye for business and a track record of success in the media/marketing services professionSolid interpersonal and teamwork abilitiesAbility to lead new business development process, with demonstrated ability to win new clientsAbility to build and strengthen client relationshipsMaintain healthy senior relationships with key industry partners and search enginesAdditional InformationOur Publicis Groupe motto "Viva La Différence" means we're better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
