本ポジションでは、主要機関投資家の“顔”としてClient Serviceをリードし、日本市場の複雑性とCitiのグローバルな強みを橋渡ししながら、デジタル化・プロセス最適化・リスク管理を前進させていただきます。(ハイブリッド勤務/グローバル連携あり)
Key Responsibilities
- Client Leadership: Serve as the escalation owner and strategic partner to trust banks and asset managers in Japan, solving complex cross‑border investment needs.
- E2E Improvement & Change: Lead STP uplift, manual reduction and exception standardization, achieving escalation prevention and shorter TAT.
- Multi‑function / Multi‑product Ownership: Orchestrate multiple functions (e.g., Settlements, Asset Servicing, Onboarding) and products (Bonds, Equities, Mutual Funds).
- Strategy & Execution: Design KPIs/KRIs, plan capacity & skills, own the change roadmap and make outcomes visible with data.
- Global Partnership: Operate as One Citi with regional/global Ops, Product and Technology; negotiate and align in English to fit global standards with Japan‑specific practices.
- People & Culture: 3–5 years of people management (hiring, performance, coaching, succession) and an inclusive team culture.
- Controls & Risk: Maintain pristine controls and regulatory compliance while maximizing throughput.
Qualifications
Essential
- Manager experience in Custody / Securities Operations (team leadership, quality/TAT control, escalations)
- People management (3–5 years): hiring, performance management, coaching & development
- Breadth across multiple functions/products (e.g., Settlements, Asset Servicing, Onboarding / Bonds, Equities, Mutual Funds)
- Strategic planning & execution (KPI design, resource planning, change roadmap)
- Proven change maker with drive to lead standardization, automation and STP improvement
- Proactive issue prevention and sustainable root‑cause fixes
- Global communication in English with regional/global stakeholders (negotiation and alignment)
- Understanding of Japanese business practices at trust banks / asset managers and direct experience with institutional clients
- Language: English – Business level (required); Japanese – basic to business preferred (team can supplement for client interactions)
- Product exposure: handling non‑Japanese securities (e.g., US/EU bonds)
- Strength in one or more: Asset, Corporate Actions, Mutual Funds
Preferred
- Delivered measurable client experience uplifts (e.g., NPS/CSAT)
- Data‑driven operations (dashboards, exception management)
- Cross‑border operating experience; knowledge of custody tax/disclosure
- Demonstrated talent development / succession planning
Licensing (Regulatory requirement)
- JSDA Class 1 Sales Representative certification (required for this role)
