A well-established, employee-owned engineering and design consultancy is seeking a Vice President to lead its Urban Development team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer with a strong background in business development, client management, project delivery, and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth, developing client relationships, mentoring staff, and overseeing the successful delivery of complex civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee major urban development and civil engineering projects as Principal-in-Charge and Senior Project Manager.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and securing new work.
- Develop proposals, negotiate scopes and fees, and support contract management, invoicing, and collections.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight to engineering teams.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and quality control processes.
- Direct the preparation and review of engineering designs, construction plans, and technical reports.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Support strategic planning and market growth initiatives within the urban development sector.
- Lead client meetings, project kick-offs, and high-level design discussions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
- 15+ years of civil engineering experience, including at least 8 years in project management and leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
- Experience delivering complex civil engineering and land development projects.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
