Job Overview

PHI Health is seeking skilled and dedicated pilots to join our air ambulance team. The role involves flying critical care missions with speed and precision, supporting patients and communities across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Operate PHI Air Medical aircraft under CAMTS guidelines.
  • Command an AS350 helicopter with VFR/NVG and an instrument rating.
  • Work 24‑hour day/night rotations.
  • Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operating Manual.
  • Assist in loading and unloading patients and equipment.
  • Support the Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other safety campaigns.
  • Participate in community outreach programs and adhere to PHI Air Medical policies.
  • Work with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service.

Schedule & Location

  • Schedule 7‑day rotation; schedule changes may be required.
  • Must reside within a one‑hour commute of the base.

Qualifications

  • Commercial and instrument helicopter ratings.
  • First‑class medical certificate.
  • CAMTS flight hour requirements: 2,000 total hours, 1,500 helicopter hours, 1,000 PIC helicopter hours, 500 turbine helicopter hours, 100 unaided night operations or 50 unaided plus 100 NVG hours.
  • Weight restriction policy: 235 pounds or less.
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre‑placement physical exam, including a functional capacity test and lifting 100 pounds.
  • Interview and acceptance by PHI management.
