Veterinary Technician

Maple Leaf Pet Corner, a small private practice in North Seattle, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician at Maple Leaf Pet Corner, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners in our community.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical and dental procedures
• Administering medication and treatments to patients as directed by the veterinarian
• Performing diagnostics such as radiographs, blood pressure readings, and collecting laboratory samples
• Providing compassionate care for animals during their stay at the clinic
• Educating pet owners on general pet care and medication administration

Requirements:

• Knowledge of animal care practices and general practice medical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40 lbs
